Edie's Story.
I was just walking by, minding my own business, when my mom picked me up and started loving on me. She began petting me, and kissing me, and then she started crying into my neck and shoulders.
Please watch this video about Edie, a little 10-pound Maltese that was only one hour away from being euthanized. Sometimes one hug will do when a thousand words fail.
God bless all the moms and dads out there who take the time to know our feelings. We depend on you to hear and understand.
Amen

oh MMO thanks for sending that on your blog....i put it on my moms facebook account...so sad...only ten months old and having been treated that badly...i just cant imagine.....
Wow! Such a powerful video. I hope some of the so called "behavior experts" who "evaluate" these poor dogs at the shelter will watch this. It is just so easy for them to be killed for so called behavior problems!

I volunteer in rescue and see that everyday. How much simple love transforms animals. Thanks for sharing.
She's the image of Sparky, only smaller. He was in that condition when I got him, only he had bad food allergies that cause ear infections and the loss of fur from mid back to mid tail, with scabbing. When the rescue lady brought him in he flew into my lap and hid his head in my armpit.
Well, now I guess I'll have to get another dog. Thanks, Michele and MM. :Þ
Our momma cried when she saw the youtube, too. And she picked us up and kissed each one of us.

During the last two years, I have treated many dogs just like little Edie. I am always amazed by how quickly they respond to kindness and love. Thanks for giving giving her a second chance! I hope she gets a better family this time.
My friend Cathy sent me this video and then discovered that she had rescued Edie's mother, at the same time, in the same condition. She just sent me a video of Edie getting her new home. It didn't take long.
I am with YTNR here in So. California and saw reference to your blog from a YTNR e-mail. I'd be glad to forward the video if I hadyour e-mail address.

Thank you for thinking about Edie and her mom and all the other pups who have to suffer before they find their forever homes.
