Miss Letty and Me

Miss Letty is ever so nice to me. I will do almost anything she asks. Here, you can see what good friends we are. She asked me to give her a "high five", and I did. She gives me a treat. Don't tell her, but I would give her a "high five" even if I didn't get a treat because I just love her so much.

She's one of my favorite Puppy School teachers. Truth is, they're all absolutely the best.

Sincerely, Mary-Margaret O'Brien

Hi Mary-Margaret

I know you're probably not even up yet because of the time difference, but it's 7:30am here and my Mum's been up for a while getting more stuff ready for her trip (sniff!). She is leaving at 7:00 tomorrow (Tuesday) and I can't even think about it really. She used to leave in the evening when she went to London, but now there is a morning flight and she takes that one because she says it's better for jet lag - whatever that is! It's not better for me though it's like she's gone for a whole extra day! I am going to miss her so much!

When is your Mom going to Hawai by the way? You said March so it must be soon. I'm sorry, I probably shouldn't have asked, I don't want you to be upset too.

My Mum was talking to my Nana in England yesterday who said that her greyhound Pallino wanted to say hi to you. She reads them your blogs you know, and they love them. My Nana doesn't have a computer which is why my Mum won't be able to read your blogs while she is there. She said she might have a chance when she goes to see her brother but she's not sure.

By the way, speaking of all the things we have in common again, my Mum's brother went to Norwich University which is in East Anglia!

Mum will read your blog with me later today and she said she will try to help me with a message (just like your Mom she does the typing for me) but knowing my Mum she will probably be in quite a panic with some last minute packing by then, so I wouldn't count on a message from me if I were you.

When Mum comes back from England, she said we will e-mail you to ask your Mom for some help on how to attach one of my photos to an e-mail. I bet I don't look anything like you think I do (did I tell you I'm white and light tan? - I'm not sure).
My Mum comes back on March 14th so maybe your Mom will be away then, if so we will wait until she comes back for some help with the picture.

I hope you have a good day. I'm going to help my Mum with the rest of her packing (maybe I can pull the clothes out of the suitcase!) and then I'm supposed to have a bath so that I'm nice and clean for my Dad. I don't really like having a bath. Do you?

Love
Your sad pen pal

Hi, Sarabi. Cheer up. You know I've heard that Dads are actually big softies and you'll probably have a really good time with him. The best advice I can give is to show him a lot of tummy, make really BIG eyes at him, tremble just ever so slightly (it makes us seem vulnerable and they want to protect us), and lift one paw as if to shake his hand. My Aunt Rose used to do that and there wasn't a person alive who could resist. I'm learning the routine a little at a time.

Tell Pallino "hello" for me. If his mom had a computer then your mom wouldn't seem so far away all the time. And then we could all three of us visit, too.

My mom found "Charley Bears" at PetSmart and bought me a huge bag full. Do you like Charley Bears? If you've never tried them they are dee-lish-ous!!

I'll be thinking of you. Hugs from me, Mary-Margaret. :o)

Thanks for the advice Mary-Margaret. I'll give my Dad my best puppy dog eyes and I'll show him plenty of tummy - I love tummy rubs, don't you? My Mum gave me a bath this afternoon so I'm also all soft and cuddly - how could he resist I ask?
I probably won't be checking in on you with my Mum again, it's all up to Dad now.
I hope you had a good day.
P.S. What do "Charley Bears" taste like? Do you think I should get my Dad to go to Petsmart and buy me some to cheer me up?
Love and thanks.

Oh, "Charley Bears"! YUMMMMM! They look like Oyster Crackers, Mom says. But they taste a bit like liver. Sort of like liver-flavored oyster crackers? Tell your Dad about them. They are the BEST. I also like string cheese (but not too much at one time), cream cheese and Miss Lynne says I would like peanut butter, but Mom doesn't have any at the moment.

Love, Mary-Margaret

My Mum woke me up at 4:00am - can you believe that? She checked her e-mail and then since she woke me up SO rudely she agreed to help me see if there were any messages from you. This is it for her for sure, she won't be helping me check in with you any more for a while, she is off in 3 hours - maybe I'll be able to get back to sleep!
The "Charley Bears" do sound yummy. I think I might be allowed to have some of those. You're lucky, it sounds like you can have all kinds of goodies. My Mum is very careful what she gives me, because I have a very sensitive stomach which is not unusual for shih-tzus apparently. I won't go into details about what happens if I have the wrong things, I'll leave that to your imagination. Mum says it falls under the category of 'too much information'!
Anyway my Mum says to say goodbye to you for now and to please say some prayers for her for a safe journey- I said lots and lots last night.
I'll check in later with Dad I hope. I'll be extra nice to him and follow all your good advice.
Love
A very sleepy,
Sarabi
